Guidance: Current Travel Advisory
International students, faculty, and staff: If you are planning international travel over the coming weeks, be aware that U.S. federal travel restrictions are evolving and could impact some international citizens' ability to reenter the country.
Potential Travel Ban
A travel ban is anticipated for citizens of the following countries: Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen.
Increased scrutiny by the federal government may apply to citizens of these countries: Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Turkmenistan.
Reports indicate these countries will have 60 days to address security concerns or face travel restrictions: Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, São Tomé and Príncipe, Vanuatu, and Zimbabwe.
The list of affected countries may change, and additional restrictions could be implemented with little notice. The International Services team is monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
